What these denials mean:
This denial confirms that you have a mental disorder. Your claim was denied because there wasn't evidence of a nexus, or connection, between your mental disorder and your SC-disability.
You can still get service-connection for a mental disorder, if:
There is evidence available, but it wasn't obvious enough to stand out or easy enough to find. That's when I would sift through all the records. If there is evidence I can use, then I can write a helpful nexus letter.
How?
- Medical Literature Review - I would begin with a Medical Literature Review to confirm that there is a reasonable medical connection between your mental disorder and your SC disability.
- Records Review - I would complete a Records Review to gather evidence for your claim.
- Nexus Letter - If there is sufficient evidence of a nexus to your SC disability, I would write a nexus letter to support your claim.
