Don't Know What Services You Need?

I've helped thousands of veterans navigate this mess, and I've put together a few questions to find out where you are in the VA disability claim process, so I can guide you to your next best steps.
VA Disability Claims can be confusing: endless paperwork to fill out, denials that don't make sense, or ratings that don't reflect what you're going through.
Start with the Fieldstone Navigator so you can get pointed toward the right path before choosing a service.

A Comprehensive, Objective Evaluation

Independent Medical Exams (IMEs)

An Independent Medical Exam (IME) is an objective assessment by a medical professional with no prior treatment relationship or personal interest in you or the VA.

An IME can help when your symptoms, diagnosis, or level of impairment were not fully captured in a prior C&P exam, or when you need clearer documentation to support a claim, appeal, or rating increase.

My evaluations are trauma-informed, respectful, and designed to document your symptoms in the language the VA needs while minimizing unnecessary stress.

Make the Connection the VA Needs

Nexus Letters

A Nexus Letter establishes a direct connection between your mental health condition and your:

  • Military service, or
  • Other service connected disability

A diagnosis alone is often not enough. The VA may still deny your claim if the evidence does not clearly explain the connection, or if the prior examiner missed or misunderstood the medical reasoning.

My Nexus Letters are based on records review, clinical analysis, and sound medical reasoning. The goal is to explain the connection clearly, credibly, and in the language the VA needs.

Complete records review and expert medical opinion addressing direct or secondary service connection
  • small check icon
Written by a Licensed Psychologist who is trained, certified, and medically qualified by the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA)
  • small check icon
Designed to meet VA standards and support your claim with clear rationale

You may need an IME or a Nexus Letter if:

  • Your VA disability claim was denied
  • Your rating does not reflect how much your symptoms affect your work, relationships, or daily life
  • Your C&P examiner missed important symptoms, diagnoses, or functional limitations
  • The VA said there was no connection between your mental health condition and your service
  • You need evidence connecting a mental health condition to another service-connected disability
  • Your claim involves a pre-existing condition, aggravation, or an incorrect diagnosis
  • You have a diagnosis but need stronger medical reasoning to support service connection
